Partner Alexis Berg-Townsend Honored With the Hero Award
United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley awarded Partner Alexis Berg-Townsend the TeenWorks Hero Award for her years of service to the community and dedication to the young people of our town.
Alexis, a partner at Cohen, Feeley, Altemose and Rambo, is known for her incredible history of protecting workers and union members as a Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist. Alexis is only one of 200 attorneys with this prestigious certification (a title permitted by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court). She is also one of the foremost Social Security Income and Social Security Disability attorneys in Pennsylvania.
Throughout the firm’s history, we’ve been proud to contribute to the TeenWorks scholarship program, and Alexis has been a staple both as an annual dinner attendee and for her presentations.
Alexis Berg-Townsend’s Commitment to the Lehigh Valley Community
This award is especially meaningful to Alexis who, like many of the attorneys at Cohen, Feeley, Altemose and Rambo, grew up here. Alexis grew up in the Lehigh Valley and eventually returned here after graduating from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.
Her involvement in the community continues outside of her professional life. Alexis was the head softball coach for the Whitehall softball team for ten seasons (including coaching the team to their 2009 district title win).
Along with her recent nod from TeenWorks, Alexis’s many accomplishments include:
- Her role as the Chairwoman for the Lehigh County Workers’ Compensation Committee
- A member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Lehigh County Bar Association
- Additionally, she is a member of the Community Service Committee, Workers’ Compensation Committee, the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Section, and Social Security Disability Committee.
From her peers and leading industry organizations, Alexis won titles of:
- 2025: Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year
- 2022 and 2023: Best Lawyers® and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers
- 2022: The Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence Award
- 2017: The Lehigh Valley Business 40 Under 40 Award
- 2016: Tiffin University Alumni Award
- 2014: to 2017 Best Lawyers® Rising Star
