Mark K. Altemose and Alexis Berg-Townsend Named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers®

Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo is excited to announce that Attorneys Mark K. Altemose and Alexis Berg-Townsend have been named 2025 Lawyers of the Year by Best Lawyers®

This highly coveted award is given to those who demonstrate outstanding achievements and leadership in the legal profession. Mark and Alexis were recognized for their exceptional skills and dedication.

Mark K. Altemose

Mark K. Altemose, CEO and Managing Partner at Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo, was recognized, in particular, for his achievements representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation.

Mark K. Altemose has established a remarkable career in personal injury law since graduating from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1990. Mark has consistently been named one of Pennsylvania’s top 100 personal injury lawyers by his peers.

Mark has brought his clients numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements across a range of complex cases, including automobile accidents, product liability, trucking accidents, and medical malpractice. Mark’s distinguished career defending his neighbors in his hometown and state has established him as a pillar of our community here in Pennsylvania.

Alexis Berg-Townsend

Alexis Berg-Townsend, Partner at Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo, was noted by Best Lawyers® for her stellar work in workers’ compensation law representing claimants. Alexis specializes in Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Income, and Social Security Disability law. Besides her nods from Best Lawyers®, she is also a Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist (one of only 200 people to earn this distinction). She is also a fierce advocate for union members all over Pennsylvania.

Her impressive career includes recognition in Best Lawyers® and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2022 and 2023, as well as being named a Rising Star from 2014 to 2017—an honor given to a select few under 40 or with less than 10 years of practice. Alexis is also the recipient of the 2017 Lehigh Valley Business 40 Under 40 Award and the 2016 Tiffin University Alumni Award.

The “Lawyer of the Year” Award

To earn recognition from Best Lawyers® as a “Lawyer of the Year” award, an attorney must be nominated by and receive exceptionally high feedback from peers. Unlike other awards, lawyers cannot pay a fee to be considered, making it a high honor that’s incredibly difficult to achieve.

The “Lawyer of the Year” award is a prestigious honor given annually to just one attorney per practice area in each region, based on exceptionally high overall feedback from peers.

This accolade reflects a lawyer’s outstanding reputation and professional excellence. Notably, this recognition cannot be bought or influenced by any external factors, underscoring its significance and the high regard in which the recipient is held within the legal community.

The Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo Team

At Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo, our whole team works hard to define what it means to practice personal injury litigation. We treat our clients like family—no case is too small, and no case is too challenging. Knowing we were nominated by our peers means we are doing right by our clients, which means more than anything.
